Meanwhile, I started eating the food when the dishes were served and lost the desire to talk.

I smiled faintly at her. “Aren’t you tired of pretending? Rebecca, you’re in your thirties. If you’re acting this way in front of your husband, I’ve got to hand it to you. With that, he placed a few pieces of fish on my plate and asked, “Why did you stop eating after taking a few bites?”
