Chapter 4: Alpha Logan

Paralyzed, Serena couldn‘t speak. Logan was smiling at her, waiting for her to do something. She shifted her weight from one leg to the other. “Can I help you with that box?” Logan asked, reaching out to take it from her. Instinctively, Serena pulled away, and Logan took a half step back. She sighed, finally snapping out of her daze. “Yes, thank you,” she said. Logan stepped forward again and took the box from her. Serena hastened up the front porch and checked inside to make sure the kids were still upstairs. She could hear them giggling in one of their rooms, probably making a mess of something. Better that than have them wander down. She didn‘t know if Logan was the man she‘d slept with, though she was almost positive. He didn‘t seem to recognize her though, and that was a small mercy.
