Diane breathed a sigh of relief after hearing that Severin would be back in another two days. Though she also knew that Lillie and the others were already strong enough, the way they respectfully addressed Severin as their master made it obvious that Severin was even stronger than them.

Severin chatted with Diane for some time before they ended the call and went to bed.

However, another couple who were lying in bed had insomnia at about an hour past midnight. None of Cain’s calls to Mehdi were answered, so both he and Lucy had a bad feeling in their heart. “Darling, they couldn’t have been killed, right?” Lucy finally asked Cain after some time had passed. Cain answered gloomily, “I don’t discount that possibility. I can’t get in touch with them even though it’s already passed midnight, so it’s quite possible that they were killed too. Are the female bodyguards working for Severin really that powerful? Not even Mehdi and his men are a match for them even though Severin was not around.”
