As soon as the car stopped, Mrs. Lewis came over, smiling as she opened the door.

“Sonny!” Her face lit up as she reached in to lift him out of the car.

“Auntie!” Liberty greeted warmly.

“Liberty, welcome back,” Mrs. Lewis said, still beaming as she hugged Sonny close.

She held his hand as they walked toward the house.

“Did you have fun with your auntie, Sonny?” she asked.

“Yes, | had lots of fun! Grandma, did you miss me?” Sonny replied with a grin.

Mrs. Lewis chuckled, her eyes soft with affection.
