Chapter 1727 Mackenzie Meets Claudette

Only a single person stood in the room. It was a woman rooted to the ground, her gaze vacant and stoic- akin to a finely crafted automaton, devoid of any human emotion.

“Claudette!”

Mackenzie could no longer bear it and quickly approached the figure ahead of her.

Freya, with a swift raise of her hand, prevented those who would have stopped Mackenzie from heading forward.

Mackenzie approached Claudette with ease and gently held Claudette’s hand. Claudette feels warm to the touch, but she looks so cold, as if she’s a living dead.

“Claudette was hanging by a thread when she jumped off that cliff. There was no way she could live, but our organization brought her back with the most advanced technology and medicine from the black market!” Freya explained, preempting any question that Mackenzie had.

Mackenzie trembled, her emotions a swirling storm within. A sense of darkness enveloped her, strangling her with its despair, causing a wave of emotions to rage within her–confusion, anger, and grief.

Lightning and thunder filled her inner world, giving rise to a chaotic symphony of conflicting emotions!
