Leanna woke up to the sun glaring down at her. She turned around and rummaged around for her phone. The moment she looked at the time, she shot up. Eleven? Why didn’t my alarm go off?

She hurried out of bed and left the room only to run into Aidan approaching her with a bag in hand. “Ah, you’re awake.”

Leanna grumbled, “And you woke up earlier than I did. Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“You were sound asleep, so I let you sleep in.”

“But I’m running late!”

Aidan asked, “I thought it was your day off?”
