Julie felt a bit on edge as she listened to the sound of running water from the bathroom. She wanted to bolt from the house, leaving him alone, but was worried that if she returned, her small room might’ve been torn apart by Kieran’s single command.

So, Julie had no choice but to spend her time contemplating strategies on her tiny bed, which felt like ages.
