Due to the fact that Zane hasn’t woken up yet, Heather had to be the one to stay by Kiara’s side. Although Daniel wasn’t so keen on the idea, he knew Kiara needed someone close to her and if it wasn’t Zane then it might as well be Heather.

Meanwhile, Daniel always made sure to check up on Zane and report back to Kiara who was more worried about Zane than herself.

The doctor had said he had fainted due to extreme fatigue and might be on bed rest for a week. That piece of information bugged them because Kiara’s due day was in one day and Zane wasn’t showing any signs of waking up and for some reason, Daniel couldn’t get to Levi or Anastasia.

“Zane isn’t awake yet? I know this is selfish of me and I know he needs to rest but I can’t do this without him. I need him beside me” Kiara murmured as she stared at Daniel who in turn sighed. He didn’t know what to tell her and only the past few days he and Heather had helped her through her pain did he realize just how insensitive he has been towards Kiara’s situation.

Now he understood why Zane was so reluctant on leaving her side because he was trying to share her pain with her.

“Hopefully, he’ll wake up soon knowing you are waiting for him. It’s time for you to eat so you can get your strength back” Heather murmured as she reached towards the nightstand and grabbed Kiara’s food.

Heather had practically moved into Kiara’s hospital room together with Nikolas so she could be watching over him and Kiara at the same time but whenever Kiara was having one of her episodes, Daniel carried him far away from the room so he wouldn’t be awakened by her cries.
