Gloria lifted her gaze abruptly to stare at Harvey. “What are you trying to say? Are you trying to tell me that Tyler wouldn’t have fallen in love with me even if he ended up finding me instead of Vicky back then?”

“Yes,” Harvey uttered slowly, his words like sharp blades cutting into her heart. “Even if he found you, he would’ve never fallen in love with you. Besides, it was actually Vicky whom he was looking for… Gloria, he found the right person, and Vicky never tried to impersonate you.”

Gloria was stunned for a few moments, but she soon started cackling. Her often-soft voice sounded extremely sharp and unpleasant.
