“Vicky… Vicky…” A clear and familiar voice was calling her, and for a moment, Vicky did not know whether she was dreaming or awake.

“Wake up, Vicky!” That voice was still calling her. She frowned and slowly opened her eyes.

The bedside lamp was dimly lit, making it hard for her to make out the person’s features.

“Tyler? It’s late. Why aren’t you sleeping? The doctor said you need to rest more…” mumbled Vicky.

Suddenly, her voice stopped when she realized she was actually in her own place and not the hospital.

‘Oh, it was just a dream. I haven’t had one of those for quite a while,’ she thought, crestfallen.

A memory came back to her—it was her birthday that day, but her husband ditched her to go save another woman.
