“It’s fine. You may go,” Tyler said.
After the doctor was gone, Gloria asked coldly, “What brought you here in the middle of the night, Mister Hart?”
“The doctor called me and said that you won’t eat or cooperate with treatment.”
“So, you abandoned my cousin, who’s afraid of the dark, at home and came running?” Gloria mocked. “If you don’t want to come here, why make yourself do it? You’ve been ignoring me for the past few days, haven’t you?”
Everyone, including Selene, thought that Tyler was with Gloria every day, but he had only dropped by occasionally, spending no more than a few minutes with her every time.
