Vicky looked at Tyler in surprise. “Are you coming along?’ “I don’t have anything to do today, so I can keep you company,” Tyler replied calmly.
Vicky instinctively tried to refuse. “You don’t have to.”

“I accepted having Jade around to protect me when I go out; I never agreed to let you follow me around,” Vicky stated firmly.
Tyler was unhappy with her explanation, but he managed to control his temper. “I’m not just following you around. I’m here to protect you.”

“As the child’s father, I can better ensure your safety,” he added.
