Cordelia grew nervous seeing Linda reel in her smile and put on a serious expression. “What’s the matter?”

Cordelia’s face fell.

Michael Johnson was Karine’s uncle, a major shareholder in the company. She had hit Karine the other day, and the latter must have complained about her to her uncle.
