Rebecca composed herself. Maybe her panic was just due to feeling guilty.

Given Persephone's intellect, she wouldn't suspect a thing.

"Rebecca, why are you standing there? Let's go together," Persephone urged.

"Oh..." Rebecca responded. "Ms. Hamerton, maybe I shouldn't come. It's your date with Mr. Orton. It might not be appropriate for me to tag along."
