“Quickly inform our boss about this matter.”
“From today onward, you won’t be able to stay in Jiverton.”
After threatening Cynthia, the group left, clearly going to seek help and tend to their injuries.
After the others watched them leave, they dispersed and went about their own business. Only the girls who had spoken up earlier remained, looking at Cynthia with concern.
“Are you okay?”
“In the future, it’s better to go to bars like this with company.”
“That’s right.”
They comforted her.
Cynthia smiled faintly, giving off a soothing and carefree vibe. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“No need to thank us. If you don’t mind, why not come with us? We’re planning to stay and have some fun before leaving.” They had smiles and concern on their faces.
“Thank you, but I’m planning to head back.” Cynthia smiled gently.
The others did not insist.
However, as Cynthia was leaving, a few could not help but stop her, treating her as someone. inexperienced in society. “Miss!”
“What’s the matter?” Cynthia asked.
“If you ever encounter such a situation again, never agree to go with someone.”
“Those people didn’t seem like good people at all. If you had gone with them, the consequences would have been terrible.”
“In a bar, if your drink is ever out of your sight, don’t drink it.”
As Cynthia listened to these heartwarming words, she regarded them as she would her own sisters. “Okay, thank you.”
“You’re welcome!” They smiled sweetly.
Cynthia left the bar.
Glancing at the time outside the bar, she realized it was already eight o’clock.
The bar was in the city center, a two-hour drive from where she lived. Just the thought of sitting in a car for two hours to get back made her hesitant.
She had calmed down at this point, and she understood why Joshua did not believe her.
When strange things happen, there must be a reason behind it.
Joshua had already been suspicious of the relationship between her and Mitchell, and coupled with her recent actions that were completely contrary to her usual character, it was no surprise that his doubts deepened.
Cynthia temporarily restrained her thoughts and had originally planned to take a taxi back home. However, considering that the subway would only take an hour and a half, she decided to take the subway instead.
At half past ten, Cynthia arrived at the subway station. As soon as she stepped outside, she saw a fire truck heading toward her neighborhood.
