Chapter 187
1/2
She could no longer pretend anymore, and it was impossible for Joshua to marry her.
All she could do was leave before Joshua had fully exposed her. Only this way, when they meet again in the future, she might still have a little hope.
Jayleen packed up her things and said as she passed by Joshua, “I’m leaving Believe it or not, I didn’t lie to you.”
She left after speaking.
Sering that she was about to go out, Joshua called her, “Wait.”
“Anything else?”
“Who got the hospital records for you?”
Jayleen had already thought of an excuse. “My cousin. He works in that hospital. I didn’t want my friend to worry too much about my body, so I asked him to make me a fake one.”
Joshua was still staring at her.
Not a word of hers seemed credible to tum.

However, when he thought of what she had said before, Cynthia’s face automatically appeared in bis mind.
“I had the surgery three months ago in another hospital, but due to some special reasons, that hospital didn’t have my hospitalization record. Elve Hospital, from May 3rd to June 7th, you can check that.” Jayleen was so good at acting and pretending to be weak
“As for the reason for coming back to you, it’s the same as I said before.” After Jayleen finished speaking, she raised her hand to wipe away her tears, but she did not cry out loud.
Joshua could not tell what he was feeling now.
Angry? No.
Disappointment? No.
He did not even have many mood swings. He was just thinking about not wanting to see this person again afterward
“Then go. We have nothing to do with each other from now on,” he said indifferently. His tone was not much different from
usual
Jayleen forced a smile. “Okay.”
She took the suitcase and left.
Before today, she had considered what would happen if Joshua exposed her.
What she thought at the time was that she would tell her own experience. She thought that Joshua would express concern for her and confront that person for her.
However, when it really happened, she suddenly had the revelation. Joshua was a person who would not give everything to anyone. He would not care about her even if he knew what happened to her.
What he cared more about was whether he had been cheated.
Jayleen’s hand holding the suitcase was key cold, and she felt terrified at the thought of returning to that person again after failing the mission.
That would be hell!
After she left, she still called that person even though she was very reluctant.
She knew very well that she could not escape that person’s control, and no matter what she did.
