Chapter 201
Cynthia caught onto her words and asked, “That person?”
Jayleen froze, realizing she had slipped up. After careful consideration, she knew that the mission had already failed. Whether
he was captured or managed to escape, she would ultimately end up in that person’s hands
Telling Cynthia the truth or keeping it a secret made little difference.
“If I tell you, can you help me protect my family? They’re just ordinary people.” Jayleen raised one final condition.
“Tell me about it first.” Cynthia did not immediately agree.
Jayleen did not know what was happening, but her heart suddenly calmed down upon hearing Cynthia’s response. Then, she looked at Cynthia and said, “Go ahead and ask me anything. There’s too much going on, and I don’t know where to start.”
“That person had you kidnap me?”
Mmhmm.”
“Why?”

“He wanted me to film a video of you being sexually assaulted, so he could use it to threaten you into doing things for him,” Jayleen explained.
Cynthia did not say much but just continued asking, “Is that person man or a woman? What did they want me to do?”

Cynthia frowned.
Jayleen thought about the past and spoke with emotion, “When I was dating Joshua, Grandina was seriously ill. I hadn’t started my career and had no money. I hinted at him to support me, but I don’t know if he didn’t understand or didn’t want to support me. After waiting for half a year and getting nothing, I left.
“You can directly talk to him about your situation. He’ll help,” Cynthia saki calmly.
“At that time, I was young and hadn’t experienced the cruelty of society. I felt ashamed to ask for money. Plus, I did want him to support me,” Jayleen bluntly said.
Jayleen tightened her grip as she spoke, “Just two days after brealding up with him, that person approached me and sald
