Chapter 453
Cynthia thought Mitchell’s advice was great and agreed, “Olcay.”
After ending the call, Cynthia went to her study to prepare a special employment contract for Matthew.
On the other hand, Mitchell called Matthew as he could not help but wonder who would ultimately win Cynthia’s affection- Matthew or Joshua.
Although Cynthia trusted Captain and had no reservations about him, their relationship remained purely platonic. As for Joshua, Mitchell personally did not want Cynthia to be more involved with him.
Joshua’s actions destroyed all of Cynthia’s trust and feelings for him.
After all, Cynthia was the kind of person who would wholeheartedly devote herself to someone she liked, but once she fell out of love, it was difficult to change her mind.
While pondering these thoughts, Matthew’s deep voice came through.
“Mitchell”
“Captain, you’re quite proactive,” Mitchell commented
“I let her slip away once before. I can’t let it happen again this time,” Matthew casually chatted with Mitchell, his deep voice sounding pleasant

Mitchell asked, “Have you made up your mind?”
“Yes,” Matthew replied.
“If you need anything, just let us know. Jimmy and I are ready to cooperate at any time,” Mitchell said, adjusting his glasses.
That was exactly what Matthew wanted to hear.
“If she asks you about the job assignment, remember to make me sound pitiful, preferably discouraging her from assigning me elsewhere”
Knowing Cynthia’s personality, she would probably figure out his strengths if he had worked by her side for a month. It would not matter if he continued working alongside her, but if he were sent elsewhere, it would be a futile effort.
“Understood.” Mitchell was quite sharp.
The call ended.
Matthew went to take a shower and changed into his pajamas.
Mitchell, holding his phone, fell into deep thought, feeling sorry for Matthew’s tumultuous love life. When Matthew learned from Jimmy about Cynthia’s marriage and divorce, he called Mitchell, asking if he had not worried so much back then, would she have been happler?
At that moment, Mitchell knew that Matthew regretted not expressing his feelings earlier due to their respective positions. Nonetheless, he was also surprised that Matthew had developed feelings for Cynthia.
It was something Mitchell had not noticed before. After all, Matthew treated everyone equally during training and never showed favoritism to anyone.
Mitchell only wanted to see Cynthia happy this time.
Cynthia had no idea that the two people she trusted were secretly colluding. After preparing and printing the employment contract, she stamped it with the company seal and signed her name.
Once Matthew signed it, the contract would take effect.
It was already past ten o’clock when Cynthia completed these tasks. Then, she tidied up and went to wash up before going to bed
