Chapter 478
Felix understood everything just by looking at Joshua’s expression. He patted his shoulder and said, “Your morn is very worried about you. She sensed that you were unhappy from the moment you came bark”
After all, a mother would know her child hest.
No matter how well you disguised it, parents could see through all your pretenses.
“I’m fine,” Joshua said..
Felix asked, “Doesn’t it hurt?
“The pain 1 teel is nothing compared to the grievances Cynthia endured in the pest.” Joshua looked into the distance. The city was enveloped in darkness, and even though the city lights were bright, only the sun could truly illuminate the sky
Similarly, only Cynthia could dispel the dariness in his heart.
Having heard his response, Felix did not say anything more. As their children get older, there were certain things they had to handle on their own, and they had to bear the consequences themselves.
That night, the city was aglow with countless lights, but Joshua lying in bed felt cold.

He forced himself to sleep, but sleep eluded him
This state persisted for three whole days. On the third day, Joshua fell ill because he had not slept for three consecutive nights. If Yoel had not noticed in time, it could have led to serious complications from the high fever.
Yoel rushed around the hospital, busy with payments, getting medication, and more.
After a day of receiving IV drips, Joshua finally woke up in the twilight,
Yoel breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Joshua open his eyes.
He was extremely worried and said, “Mr. Neal, you’re finally awake. You scared me.
Joshua looked at the white ceiling and then glanced around. When he saw the IV drip still in place, he frowned “What happened?”
“You had a high fever of 40 degrees, which lasted for over four hours! The doctor said if the fever had lasted a bit longer, it could have caused or gan and nervous system damage Yoel was still frightened.
He had been sweating profusely.
Joshua seemed indifferent and only asked, “You didn’t tell my parents, did you?”
“No.” Yoel knew what Joshua was thinking. “You really can’t mistreat your body like this in the future. If something really happened, I wouldn’t know how to explain it to your family.”
Joshua breathed a sigh of relief. The day after his birthday, he sent his parents to the airport and watched them leave. If they knew he was hospitalized, they would undoubtedly worry.
“Oh, by the way,” Yoel suddenly spoke up.
Joshua’s lips and face were still somewhat pale, and the fever had not completely subsided. “What is it?”
Yoel hesitated.
“Just say it.” Joshua felt uncomfortable all over, disliking the feeling of being sick.
“Ms. Yates called you this afternoon. I heard the phone ringing when I went to pick up the medication.” Ynel worned that Joshua might be emotional because of this.
