If Yadier had not been arrested and had not been sentenced to death, Dani would not have been so distraught, nor would she have taken her own life. He would not have lost his only sister. All of this was caused by Joshua
Yerick’s thoughts became more radical as he continued, his grin never fading, “If she hadn’t spent that night by the sea, she wouldn’t have caught a fever, and she wouldn’t have told me she needed to clear her mind here.”
As he spoke, Cynthia was busy going through her me ntal archives. Dani? A boyfriend sentenced to death? Yerick? As she tried to put the pieces together, a matching profile emerged in her mind. Uncertain if her guess was accurate, she decided to ask him, “Was your sister Dani Gibson?”
“You are smart indeed,” Verick confirmed, albeit indirectly. He had taken his father’s surname, while his sister had taken their mother’s. After their parents passed away, Dani was his only concem. However, Joshua had caused her death.
“The arrest of her boyfriend was his own doing Joshua did nothing wrong by providing leads to the police. If anyone is to blame, it’s you. What her boyfriend was doing, I’m certain you knew,” Cynthia voiced the harsh truth.

“You mean I am the one to blame for her death?” Yerick retorted.
Before Cynthia or Joshua could respond, Yerick sighed. “Yes, it was probably my fault.”
“So, I’ve brought her enemy here to accompany her in death, haven’t 1?” Yerick gazed at Cynthia, maintaining his demeanor. “Today, you, me, and Joshua, we’re all going to die together to keep her company.” He was not going to leave here
Cynthia glanced at the sea beneath them, then took a look at the surroundings. If she jumped down from here, she would probably be shot to death before she reached the bottom. If she stayed here, she would blow up. It was truly a dead end.
Joshua’s dark eyes met hers as he assured her, “I won’t let anything happen to you.”
“Such devotion. However, don’t you think it’s too late? Yerick interjected, his mouth never idle,
“Name what you want and let her go,” Joshua demanded. He had been here for quite some time and had listened to enough. He understood Yerick’s intentions, Yerick had said all he wanted to say and was likely on the verge of destroying the entire island. If that were the case, what would become of Cynthia?
He had to stall for time, waiting for the others to arrive. The best way to do this was to divert Yerick’s hatred unto himself. By doing so, Yerick would not suspect anything, and he could achieve his goal.
“You want to save her?” Yerick queried.
