Chapter 516
“Boss, why are you so worried?” his assistant asked.
“That’s Mr. Neal of the Neal Group in there. If he dies here, it won’t just be the Neal family, even Ms. Yates won’t let me off the hook,” Sean casually replied, seeming indifferent but evidently worried.
More importantly, it was only after much difficulty that he agreed to trade with him. Sean had done his part, but Joshua’s life was now hanging by a thread. This was not looking like a good deal for him.
After a short while..
A doctor came out of the room, a thin layer of sweat visible on his forehead.
“How is it?” Sean asked.
“The situation is critical. His body temperature won’t drop, he’s lost too much blood, and the bullet is too close to the heart. We dare not remove it rashly,” the doctor informed him truthfully.

“Is there no hope?” Sean asked a blunt question.
The doctor carefully considered his words and said, “There is still hope. “If we can get in touch with Dr. Yves Scott, known as the Hand of G od, he might still stand a chance.”
“Yves Scott?” Sean paused.
“Yes,”
Sean’s brows furrowed. He felt as though he was at a massive disadvantage.
Everyone knew that Yves Scott was a doctor of peculiar temperament. As long as the stakes were high enough, he was willing to lend his expertise. However, whether Yves decided to save a life was entirely dependent on his mood. Worst of all, Sean and Yves did not exactly share a cordial relationship.
“If we can’t reach him within twelve hours, I fear nothing can save Mr. Neal,” the doctor warned.
“I understand. Stabilize Joshua’s condition. I will reach out to him,” Sean replied, feeling for the umpteenth time that this deal was a significant loss for him.
After saying this, he stepped out, mobile in hand. He paced back and forth in the corridor for quite some time before finally making a call. The line buzzed. After only two rings, the recipient hung up without hesitation.
Undeterred, Sean dialed the number again, only to be promptly disconnected. He repeated this process, and each time met with the same dismissive end. However, on the twelfth attempt, his call was finally answered. The voice on the other end was terse. “Speak”
e someone here who needs your help. You can set your own terms.” Sean did not waste any time and softened his tone slightly.
“Not interested.” The person responded coldly with those two words before ending the call.
