Chapter 565
“No, you misunderstood,” Cynthia attempted to explain, but she did not have a chance to give the reason as Shirley interrupted her throughout.
Shirley, unaware of Cynthia’s previous incident on Queneska Island or Joshua’s near-death experience saving her, said with determination, “Whether I misunderstand or not doesn’t matter. What matters is getting him out of here. I’ll go talk to him.”
Then, she opened the door and stormed out, full of anger.
“Shirley!”
Cynthia tried to stop her, but it was too late.
Shirley treasured Cynthia. Even though they were unaware of what happened the first time, she would not allow Cynthia to be mistreated a second time.
She was determined to chase Joshua away despite being terrified of his domineering presence!
After all, who knew what he might do to Cynthia when they were alone?
With these thoughts in mind, Shirley grabbed the suitcases and handed them to Joshua, who had just changed his shoes.
Joshua was confused.

What was going on?
Shirley, feeling scared deep down, said, “Leave on your own. You’re not welcome here, and I hope you won’t disturb my sister anymore!”
With just a few words, Shirley shattered Joshua’s happy mood. He looked up at the person walking out of the bedroom, his ryes filled with helplessness and melancholy as if questioning what he had done wrong,
Cynthia just brought him back, so why was he being asked to leave?
“Shirley,” Cynthia called and pulled her back.
Shirley shouted, “Cynthial”
“He has amnesia. He thinks I’m his sister. He has forgotten everything from before and now has the mind of a five-year-old child,” Cynthia explained, cutting to the chase.
Shirley was taken aback.
What the hell!
Amnesia? Five years old?
He was definitely pretending!
Just as they were about to speak, they heard Joshua’s voice.
“Cyntiala… Did I cause you trouble?” Joshua appeared guilty.
Ever since he saw Cynthia, he had felt that she did not seem to like him very much. Moreover, Shirley, the new sister figure, clearly did not welcome him either.
What had he done in his past?
Shirley was torn apart.
“No, you didn’t,” Cynthia comforted, as she could not bear to see him this way. After all, he had the mind of a child. “Shirley was talking about someone else. That person looks very similar to you, and she was mistaken.”
“Is that true?” Joshua dared not hope for anything more.
Cynthia reassured him. “It’s true.”
