The current Joshua was not energetic at all.
“What is he like now? Felix asked.
“Obedient, but doesn’t talk much. And he still feels very insecure.” Cynthia uttered.
Felix raised an eyebrow.

When did Joshua ever feel that?
“Are you sure he’s not pretending? Felix expressed his doubt, as Cynthia’s description did not match his impression of his son’s personality at all.
“I’m sure he’s not. He has asked me several times if I don’t want him anymore. I always get the feeling that he lacks a sense of security.” Cynthia knew that saying this might make Felix feel like she had not taken good care of Joshua, but she had to be
honest
If Matthew’s remark about Joshua hogging attention was indeed true, then Joshua’s psychological state.

“Where is he?” Felix asked.
“He’s in his room. Do you want to talk to him? Cynthia replied truthfully.
