Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife

Chapter 52: Anna Is a Fox Indeed

“Are you sure about it?” Diana looked at the woman in front of her calmly.

She realized that Ashley was so confident because she had a trump card.

“Why not?” Ashley said with a smile. “Anna, if you don’t feel any sense of guilt, let’s go to Mr. Powell’s office for the confrontation.”

“Up to you,” as she spoke, Dianna bypassed Ashley.

Ashley couldn’t react for a moment.

“Ms. Carter, hurry up. I still have something to do after your matter is done. Please don’t delay me from knocking off, OK?”

Upon hearing Diana’s calm and casual voice, Ashley slightly changed her expression.

She wondered why Anna wasn’t panicked at all.

She hurried to follow Anna.

Ashley had been working in Powell Group for several years. As the manager of the perfume department, although she met Brooklyn in person before, she seldom had the opportunity to report her work status in his office.

Sweat oozed in her palms. She became nervous.

Diana knocked on the door of the office. After hearing the man’s familiar voice, she pushed the door open. Casting Ashley a glance, she said, “Ms. Carter, please.”

Harper happened to be in the office as well. “Excuse me, Mr. Powell. Ashley wants to see you.”

Brooklyn looked up at Ashley, who was standing in front of him nervously, frowning deeply.

“Ms. Carter, I didn’t request to see you, did I?”

Finishing his words, Brooklyn looked down, continuing to read the financial statement in his hands.

Ashley’s face changed between livid and reddish.

She had been working in Powell Group for several years, and she believed that no matter what, she should be given credit for hard work, if not for merit.

“Mr. Powell, I came here to report an important matter. The major perfume of our department this season is going to the market soon. It has been kept in the safe. But it went missing yesterday so suddenly!”

Diana rolled her eyes expressionlessly.

Upon hearing it, Brooklyn put down the files from his slender fingers.

“I see. Ms. Carter, so, do you mean there’s a thief in our company who stole it?”
