The leaders of the gangs were furious, but they did not dare voice their anger.

Many of them found Elisa an eyesore, but they could only keep their thoughts to themselves.

"In a moment, I'll have someone bring pen and paper here. If you submit to my family and me, sign your name and leave your handprint behind. If you don't want to submit to me, you don't have to sign." Elisa sneered. "Once you're all done, I'll start a roll call. Those whose names are not called... Well, you're on your own.

"In three days, the Lotus Sect will destroy the gangs who didn't submit to me. I promise you, these gangs will disappear forever from Lannopolis!"

Elisa's blatant threat made these leaders even more displeased.

But she did not care. She sent someone to bring a book to have them sign their names and leave their handprints. Quite a number of them had to endure a great deal of humiliation while they signed their names in the book.

Some were reluctant to do so, but after some thinking, they chose to submit.

The Chandler family was not that much of a threat, but the Lotus Sect was not an organization they could cross.

The Lotus Sect might not be able to get rid of gangs with numerous members, but they could easily kill its leaders.

In the end, only a handful did not sign, and Dustin was among them.

When she saw that practically everyone had chosen to submit to her, Elisa smiled smugly.

She urged the others to hurry.

Soon, the book was brought back up to the second floor.

"I'm going to start the roll call. When I call your names, step forward!" Elisa said.

"The Waterbay Gang, Charles Cane.

"The Resonance Gang, Philip River.

"The Clearriver Gang..."

The ones who were called stepped forward. Only about six people stood at the back.

Elisa's face turned sour as she looked over, and she froze.

"Dustin, how dare you come here?!" she roared.

"Well, you very grandly told all of Lannopolis's underground society to come here, so how could I not?" Dustin said mockingly.

"Stop with your snide remarks!" Elisa

sneered. "Who are you representing? The West family? Ha! The West family isn't qualified to receive summons from me. Are you here just to humiliate yourself?"
