Angela put the phone down in fury. She covered her face, and she was trembling. She couldn’t believe the man she deeply loved was only dating her for money. It was hard to believe that he was just pretending to be nice to her.

Richard watched as tears fell through the cracks between her fingers and soaked into the sofa. He frowned. Cheering someone up was not his forte. He never did anything like that before, but still he wanted to say something to her.

 “It’s good that you saw through him. Open your eyes the next time you look for a boyfriend. Don’t fall for the same tricks,” he said.
