Biting her lip, Maggie nodded shyly. “Just a bit.”

His gaze on her ignited a powerful urge within him.

Sanford swallowed hard, bent down, and pressed a kiss to her lips, his voice growing husky.

“Rest up later. For now, let’s have dinner.”

“Okay.” Maggie sensed his desire and blushed.

Pushing him away, she carried the bags to the dining room.

“Sanford, have you eaten? There’s too much food. I can’t
