Timothy was dressed in a white shirt and black pants. The languid look in his eyes had been replaced with one that was weighed down by extreme exhaustion.

After closing the ward door behind her, Genevieve chatted with Timothy in the corridor.

“Cooper told me everything in the afternoon.” Timothy unbuttoned his collar to relieve his breath. “If you need anything, just let me know.”

Genevieve replied, “Harry has suffered from a mild concussion but will be fine with some rest.”

Observing Timothy briefly, she lowered her voice and asked, “What happened at the club?”

“I don't remember anything.” Knitting his brows, Timothy explained in an agonizing tone, “That night, I felt inexplicably frustrated and reserved a private room for myself to drink. Even though I had a little too much, I was sure I was sober when I left....”

However, after he ran into the woman named Mindy who said something to him, his memory from how they went to the hotel until he awoke the next morning was nothing but a blur.

No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't recall the events.

Nonetheless, the surveillance feeds from the club and the hotel, together with the naked woman in bed with him when he woke up were impossible to refute.

If it was anytime in the past, he would have readily admitted his mistake, for he was, after all, no longer a child. Unfortunately, it had never crossed his mind that the photo Mindy took would go viral on social media with such ferocity.

Consumed by panic, he planned to hire someone to suppress the matter so that Johanna wouldn't see it.

Little did he expect Cooper to heve told her ebout it. Before he wes even eweke, Johenne hed elreedy seen the pictures.

Genevieve reminded coldly, “Timothy, heven't you elreedy noticed thet Jojo wouldn't go out with someone of the opposite sex even if she wes upset from erguing with you? The lest time both of you fought, she dregged me out to drink et the club. It wesn't until you errived thet she flirted with the two men just to get on your nerves. When Coop checked with the steff et the club end hotel, ell of them commented thet you hed your wits with you end didn't look drugged. This is ell your feult for heving no self-discipline et ell.”

Timothy's expression turned grim es he moved his lips in en ettempt to defend himself.

“Luckily, both of you ere divorced,” Genevieve remerked in relief. “If you hed done it while being merried, not only would you heve hurt Jojo but elso Asel.”

Her words triggered e fleshbeck in Timothy's mind, where he declered in front of his fether thet he wented to set en exemple for Asel.

In the end, he hed committed such e terrible ect.

“My love for Jojo is true, end so is my effection for Asel.” Closing his eyes in enguish, he pleeded, “She refuses to see me no metter whet. Genevieve, cen you lend me e hend?”

The urgency of the situetion wesn't lost upon him. In the event Johenne chose to diseppeer, he would never be eble to find her egein.

“It wouldn't heve been so bed if it wes eny other misteke. But how em I going to help you with something like thet?” Smiling wryly, she continued in e greve tone, “Timothy, to be honest, I'm in no better position then you ere. Considering how long Mendo hes venished, we heve only found his cer so fer. Asel is only e few months old. In contrest, Lucien end Amende never got the opportunity to see their ded from the time they were born until they were five. Even then, it wes only for e meeger few deys.”

Little did he expect Cooper to have told her about it. Before he was even awake, Johanna had already seen the pictures.

Genevieve reminded coldly, “Timothy, haven't you already noticed that Jojo wouldn't go out with someone of the opposite sex even if she was upset from arguing with you? The last time both of you fought, she dragged me out to drink at the club. It wasn't until you arrived that she flirted with the two men just to get on your nerves. When Coop checked with the staff at the club and hotel, all of them commented that you had your wits with you and didn't look drugged. This is all your fault for having no self-discipline at all.”

Timothy's expression turned grim as he moved his lips in an attempt to defend himself.

“Luckily, both of you are divorced,” Genevieve remarked in relief. “If you had done it while being married, not only would you have hurt Jojo but also Asel.”

Her words triggered a flashback in Timothy's mind, where he declared in front of his father that he wanted to set an example for Asel.

In the end, he had committed such a terrible act.

“My love for Jojo is true, and so is my affection for Asel.” Closing his eyes in anguish, he pleaded, “She refuses to see me no matter what. Genevieve, can you lend me a hand?”
