Charlotte had been at the spa for the entire afternoon. Not only did she smell nice, but her cheeks were also soft and smooth.

Holding a cream-colored bag, she got into Genevieve's car and complained, “How could you pick me up in such a shabby car? Genevieve, do you know my bag is worth hundreds of thousands?” She picked up her bag and waved it in front of Genevieve.

“I'm used to this car because my man sends me to work in this car too. You can walk if you don't want to sit in this car,” Genevieve replied expressionlessly.

Seeing that Genevieve was about to stop the car, Charlotte stopped showing off and turned on the car navigation system.

The crayfish restaurant Charlotte talked about was in the suburb.

The restaurant owner farmed those crayfish himself, and it was the crayfish season that would last for three months. Because of that, the restaurant was expected to have an endless stream of customers. Charlotte had only managed to reserve a table through a friend of hers.

When Genevieve found out the place was located in the suburb, she switched on her phone tracker and shared it with Armand. The weather doesn't look good. I think it's going to rain tonight when we leave the restaurant.

After an hour's drive, they arrived at their destination. The shops around the restaurant were all eateries. Since it was dinnertime, the area was rather crowded.

In fact, the crayfish restaurant was so packed that the air conditioning couldn't even mask the smell of crayfish.

The table Genevieve and Charlotte reserved was a table next to the window.

Charlotte hadn't eaten anything, so she ended up ordering all the signature dishes from the restaurant.

After opening a can of soda and putting her straw in, Charlotte said, “It's such a shame my boyfriend is away to shoot a film. Otherwise, we would have someone to peel our crayfish for us.”

“Would you have looked for me if your boyfriend was free?” Genevieve scoffed.

“Hey, that's unfair.” Charlotte pretended to be mad. “I brought you here to have delicious food, yet you're accusing me of using you to beat boredom? I would've gone to a bar if that was the case.”

Genevieve took a sip of her coffee. “I bet it's because your boyfriend has forbidden you from going to bars.”

Genevieve was right, and Charlotte looked dejected when she heard those words.

“Men are all trash.” Charlotte bit her straw begrudgingly. “He seduced me first, but afterward, he told me if I were to go to a bar when he's away, he wouldn't let me sleep with him anymore.”

If Charlotte's ex-boyfriend were to do that to her, she would've gotten angry at him and dumped him.

However, not only did she like everything about Jerry, but she still found a sense of novelty in him. If she were to dump him, it would take her a long time to find a replacement.

Charlotte had no choice but to endure it.

Upon hearing those words, Genevieve quickly corrected Charlotte by saying, “Please exclude Armand when you say all men are trash.”

“You're so annoying!” Charlotte rolled her eyes at Genevieve.

Shortly after, the server served them two bowls of crayfish and some grilled dishes.
