When it was almost six o'clock in the evening, Bertilla knocked on the CEO's office door and placed a few pending documents on the table.

He also said, “Ms. Loake is waiting for you in the underground parking.”

Recently, Sally would pick Cooper up at night. Instead of calling Cooper, she always dialed Bertilla's number, telling the latter that she was waiting for Cooper at Specter Corporation's underground parking before hanging up the call.

It left Bertilla puzzled every time it happened. Why can't she come up here and wait for Mr. Sutton? It's so unnecessary to call. They even dared to kiss each other in public. What else is she afraid of?

Since Cooper was busy, he merely grunted a response without lifting his head.

Only when his phone alarm rang did he stop working, grab his coat, and leave the office.

Meanwhile, Sally was standing in front of her car in the underground parking, smoking with her arms crossed.

She was tall and slim, which made her simple outfit of jeans and short-sleeved shirt look exceptionally stylish. The skinny jeans, in particular, made her legs look extra slender and beautiful.

On top of that, she had a perfect butt shape—the product of working out.

Her hair was casually tied up, and her face was covered in light makeup with no eyeliner. Hence, the coldness in her eyes had disappeared, replaced by a look of laziness and exhaustion.

That was what Cooper saw the moment he stepped out of the elevator.

There was no denying that apart from Sally's gorgeous figure and beautiful face, her world-weary and cold demeanor was also a fatal attraction.

Seeing Cooper had arrived, Sally opened the car door and bent over. Just as she was about to toss the cigarette butt into the ashtray, Cooper snatched it from her fingers.

Her cigarette had a strong mint flavor, and it sent a cooling feeling into his lungs.

However, Cooper took only a puff and tossed it into the ashtray before saying nonchalantly, “I promised Mandy I'd bring her some cakes and eat with her at Swallow Garden tonight.”

While driving the car out of the underground parking, Sally asked, “Armand's not around?”

“He went to Genev's team building event.”

Cooper had called the dessert store to make some desserts after talking to Amanda on the phone earlier that afternoon.

Hence, on the way to Swallow Garden, he swung by the store to pick his order up.

When Amanda saw Cooper arriving with the desserts, she pounced on him happily, greeting Sally sweetly as “Aunt Sally” upon noticing the latter.

Hearing that, Cooper carried Amanda to the living room and corrected, “Ms. Loake and I aren't a couple. Don't simply greet her as Aunty Sally in the future, okay?”

Amanda gave a brief answer, though she did not really understand his words.
