Working as a director, Kieron had even won the Best Director award. With just one sentence, Charlotte knew exactly what he meant.

The largest investor in this movie was Rising Cloud Pictures, who had the right to interfere with the script. They could also pass on a director's casting choice if they weren't satisfied.

The script that satisfied the biggest investor was not something that Kieron could change as he pleased.

Charlotte saw that he was unwilling to back down, so she politely said, “Mr. Zuniga, if I weren't sincere, I wouldn't have personally sent Scarlette to the screen test when you first sent the invitation. She has a great image, and the intimate scene could bring her tremendous exposure, even skyrocketing her career. Who wouldn't want to seize such a great opportunity? However, Scarlette must maintain her image since she has signed a contract with Ophelia Cosmetics. She cannot accept roles with such explicit scenes during her endorsement period.”

Hearing that, Kieron narrowed his eyes slowly. “You mean, if we don't remove the intimate scenes, she won't take this role?”

“I'm sorry, but yes. After all, Ophelia Cosmetics' penalty fee is too high, and we can't afford to pay it.” Charlotte picked up the coffee pot and filled Kieron's cup.

“You sure know how to entice people, girl.” Kieron could see what Charlotte was thinking. “Once Scarlette's contract with Ophelia Cosmetics expires, you'll find another excuse to brush me off.”

Then, Kieron said, “Ms. Joule's craftsmanship in making traditional gowns is considered second to none in the industry. No one dares to claim they're better. I wanted to collaborate with her for my last film, but she was too arrogant. I sent several people to negotiate with her, but none could persuade her. Otherwise, that movie might have won an award.”

As he spoke, he looked at Charlotte. “If you can convince Ms. Joule to help me with the makeup and costumes for this movie, I'll remove all the intimate scenes.”

“You've already said that she's prideful. I don't think I can persuade her.” Charlotte lazily leaned back in her chair. “Isn't Jerry's girlfriend jealous because of the intimate scenes in his new movie? Even if I don't come to you, you will still remove those intimate scenes to keep him as the male lead.”
