My Perfect Female Boss

Chapter 16 A Deal

“Go to hell! I can say whatever I want to.”

“You scum! You shouldn’t work in our company! President Bai! Please fire him!” Kangning Zhong said with great enthusiasm.

“I agree with what Manager Zhong said. Tom is just a punk.”

“Yeah! These people wouldn’t be pissed off had it not been for that bunch of jerks brought here by Tom.”

“We lost the project all because of him.”

The other people all echoed Kangning’s opinion.

Wendy didn’t say anything. She stared at me with anger and disappointment. Maybe she was thinking whether she should fire me or not, for I ruined the project.

I didn’t mind the other people. I just looked at Wendy calmly, waiting for her to fire me.

But she only said: “How do you want to explain?”

“I can’t explain anything to you right now. I have to figure out something first.” I said, and walked towards the street.”

I was being honest with her. I could give no explanation at that time and after what happened, the best choice was to remain silent, and figure out what had happened in specific.

Wendy didn’t know that me and Wenhua Cao are enemies, but she knows that I was once in prison and I can be rude and violent.

And Awala and the other top executives in BTT Group knew nothing about me. So it was possible that they really thought me and the punks are connected and I was using these people to threaten them. It was also possible that they realized what happened was just a scheme of their rivalries, but even so, they wouldn’t take the initiative and find us again. So I had to solve the problem by myself, not only to get the project back, but to defend my dignity. I couldn’t allow them to play me like that.

Chiangmai is not a big city, and Kela Bar is easy to be found.

It’s name is rather romantic, but the bar is actually very messy. The floor is dirty and the walls are covered by ugly graffiti. It is obviously a place with no rule and order. During the daytime, a bunch of punks were drinking and playing cards in there.

I took out my phone and turned the camera on, and placed my phone in the pocket in front of my chest. Then I walked in.

The noisy crowd in the bar lapsed into silence when they saw me coming in. Everyone stopped and looked at me in unison, either they were playing cards, drinking alcohol or kissing girls who were almost naked.

“He is the guy from BTT Group. He is looking for trouble.” Someone said.

Then, they all stood up, and walked towards me, their face stern.

I looked around, and didn’t find the scarred man. I said calmly: “I’m looking for the man with a scar on his face.”

No one answered me. They surrounded me the way a group of starved wolfs surrounded their prey, and they were waiting for the head wolf to give order to attack.

I wasn’t afraid at all. I looked at these punks calmly. Because when I was in prison, I met something worse. When a dozen people trampled me, I could still manage to grab a few of them to shield me.

“Let him in.” When the atmosphere got really tense, the scarred man said from a corner.

The crowd moved away. I walked to him slowly. He was seated at a desk at the corner, and beside him there was a beautiful young girl and two masculine men.

When I walked close to them, one of the men walked towards me. His knuckles looked very big as if they were swollen.

I raised my arms. He frisked me, and let me pass.

“You are indeed a brave young man.” The scarred man said laughingly.

I removed my coat and held it with my arm. Then I took a seat, and changed my position naturally so that my camera can capture him.

“What should I call you?” I asked and lit a cigarette.

“Bansha.”

“I won’t bother to do a self-introduction because you already know my name. Let’s be frank, it was Wenhua Cao who asked you to trick me, right?”

Bensha didn’t answer my question. He grinned, and the scar on his face somehow seemed more terrifying. And he also stared at me hard, as if trying to see me through.
