The air was turning hot and heavy at a blistering rate, and the only sound that pierced through the air was Julian’s labored breathing. It felt like his breath was made of fire.

Dawn came. Rays of sunshine filtered through the window and into the room, shining on the couple who were sleeping in each other’s embrace on the gray bed.
