As Aurora spoke of this, she began to speak more. She said slowly, “Actually, it wasn’t entirely for the money that I got together with your father at the beginning. My career was at its peak at the time, so I made a lot of money. I did that primarily because I thought your father was a capable man who managed his company well. I liked such a man, and I thought I could find a sense of security by being together with him.”

She was more or less in a vengeful mood when she said she would leave Ian in Bryce’s care. She said she wouldn’t live with Bryce’s son because she would have her own life in the future.

Aurora remembered those very words because she had said them herself.

Bryce seemed to be satisfied with what she had said. At that time, he even offered to give her monetary compensation on the condition that she must not show up in front of Ian again in the future.

Aurora didn’t accept those so-called compensations as she couldn’t care less about them. At first, she wanted to proceed with her career, but her career was ruined when news broke out afterward that she had been a mistress and had given birth to an illegitimate son. Your girlfriend is wonderful. You must cherish her.”
