Cindy's mood still hadn’t improved as she had just heard all of Leah's verbal abuse over the phone, which was really unpleasant to the ears. Although it was Ian who had the upper hand in the end during the final confrontation, she was still heartbroken over him when she thought of Leah saying those words.

He now had the ability to stand up to Leah, but Cindy did not dare to imagine how he had been bullied by that family when he was still a minor.

Then, Ian gently wrapped his hand around Cindy's shoulders while saying, "Okay, let’s eat."

"Okay, I got it." Cindy nodded.

After she had her meal, she placed the dishes in the dishwasher and stood by the sink with a gentle sigh. She knew that she should not be too concerned about it. She had faced many accusations against Ian and was able to face them with composure before laughing it off. However, she was so exasperated that she wanted to swear at Leah earlier. She really had never been so angry in her life; even on that day when she quarreled with him, she didn’t have the desire to viciously slap the other person such as now.

Now that Aurora had cleared after herself, she returned to her room while Ian stood in the living room for a while before entering the kitchen.
