Ian gently patted Cindy on the back and waited for her to fall asleep before sighing. The pandemonium at the Morgan Residence that night had made him feel a little troubled even if all those things had nothing to do with him.

Leah was there crying and slapping herself, so Ian had called the housekeeper in. He didn't want to listen to Leah talking nonsense anymore, so he asked the housekeeper to have the servants pack Leah's things. Bryce's funeral was over anyway and the Morgan Residence was about to be liqiduated. Therefore, Sean wanted to make preparations in advance.

Cindy had fallen asleep and didn't know anything, but she suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and realized that Ian was not in bed. Ian had come back relatively late; considering the current time and the fact that he was not in bed, it proved that he never slept at all and had gone out again.

Hence, Cindy got off the bed with her bare feet and gently opened the door. There was a light in the living room and Ian was sitting on the sofa. The TV was on, but there was no sound coming from it. He looked like he was watching TV, but no one knew whether he was actually watching it or not. She actually had a lot of things to say to him, and she wanted to comfort him, but she then thought of how she had reacted when Anthony left.

She knew that no words could help at this time.

The situation Ian faced was a little more complicated than hers as the Morgan Family would face a lot of trouble in the future. Although Sean was in charge, there was no way for Ian to sever all ties with him after all. Thus, after thinking about it, Cindy went back to bed and wrapped herself with the quilt before she closed her eyes.

Ian sat outside for over an hour before coming in. Cindy actually knew that because she had been pretending to be asleep. Soon, he returned to the bed and waited for a while before he turned over to hug her. Now that he had returned to her side, she felt drowsy again and snuggled into his arms before she finally fell asleep after a while.

The next day, Cindy woke up early in the morning and she found Ian still asleep on the bed. Since he had slept so late last night, he definitely would not be able to get up early today. So, she walked out of the room with light steps and made breakfast first. Before breakfast was even ready, she suddenly heard the sound of the door opening outside. At that, she froze for a moment and looked toward Aurora's room. Aurora's door was closed, so she couldn't tell whether anyone was inside. However, since it was so early, Aurora was probably in her room.
