After they had sent Bryce’s body to the funeral parlor, Cindy and Ian accompanied Sean to deal with some document issues that required the presence of the eldest son in the family.

At the same time, there were also several reporters who had tracked down their location to the undertaker’s place and started to take pictures of them.

Nevertheless, all the reporters left after obtaining enough materials.

When they were finally left alone, Cindy lamented, “They’re really using other people’s sadness as the source of their materials, huh?”

Ian replied, “I know, right? Sometimes I really wonder whether these people are just waiting for others’ misfortunes.”

As it had only taken about half an hour for Sean to settle all the documents, the three of them stood at the empty space in front of the funeral parlor after everything was settled.

The cremation center was not far away from them, so they saw many people in tears while lighting candles.

Cindy really couldn’t stand seeing those scenes and she couldn’t understand how the employees here could face these situations everyday.

She wasn’t able to handle it because she had a firsthand experience and understood how it felt.

Cindy and Ian held hands at that moment.

The way the cremation center operated was to separate the bodies by the deceased person’s horoscope.

Cindy said in a soft voice. “My father was a Leo. When he passed away, I ran into many families who came to the funeral parlor that had to line up to light the candles.”

Hearing that, Ian was taken aback as he didn’t expect her to talk about this.

She had never mentioned anything about her family before and he never thought about asking as well.

As Ian couldn’t verbally comfort her, he could only tighten his grip on Cindy’s hand.

The two of them had somehow endured similar experiences, so they could understand each other’s current feelings and knew that words of comfort were futile.

At this moment, Cindy stared ahead. “Everyone in this world has different thoughts and priorities. Even if I were to cry for my dead father, my relatives could still have joyful conversations right next to me.”

She couldn’t tell whether they didn’t care or if they had just moved on.

As Bryce’s cremation was tomorrow morning, they were allowed to leave after settling all the documents as no one was required to stand guard at the funeral parlor. It was also fine to leave Bryce’s body unattended since they would only be leaving him there for a day.

After sorting everything out, Sean started to pack his things before he left the funeral parlor along with Ian and Cindy.

Due to the funeral parlor’s remote location, their surroundings were empty.

Leaning back on the car seat, Cindy turned around to look outside. “No matter how glamorous a person has lived before their death, they’d still be the same after death.”

Ian agreed before he recalled something and sighed. “Still, it’s good for him if everyone ends up the same. At least he enjoyed everything that he wanted when he was alive.”

Bryce was able to have fun and live his life in the moment back when he was still alive despite leaving a ton of mess for his children after he passed away.

Apart from anything else on hand, Leah would also definitely cause more trouble for them in the future.

Still, Ian didn’t want to worry about this anymore since he had planned to leave the day after Bryce’s cremation tomorrow.
