Cindy was so ticklish from his embrace that she twisted her body to avoid him. “Let go, let me go. It's too ticklish.”

Instead, Ian hugged her a little tighter, but instead of kissing her, he rested his chin on her shoulder and asked, “Are you really going to work?”

She was a little surprised that he would ask such a thing, so she turned to look at him. “Don’t you want me to go?”

Now that she had such a good opportunity, he would definitely not stop her. He paused for a while before saying, “No, I'm a little reluctant to let you go.”

Cindy laughed out loud. “It's not like I’ll live in the company every day and won't come home. If you come home during the filming period, we can still meet.”

Ian nodded. Actually, there were other things on his mind, but he didn't tell her. Since he didn't tell her, she wouldn’t know. She only thought that he was not used to being away from her. After all, since she was his assistant, the two of them were never away from each other much. The only time that they had separated was when they last quarreled and she went home on her own.

So, it was normal for Ian not to feel used to the separation since Cindy had also felt the same.

Cindy turned around to hug Ian. “I'm still worried about you. You’re acting alongside a beautiful female celebrity in the cast. I'm afraid that you will fool around in places where I can't see.”

He lowered his head and kissed her forehead. “Don't worry, I won't dare to.”

Cindy immediately realized what Ian meant. Although he was popular enough, there were still many people waiting to dirty his reputation. If the two of them couldn’t get along and eventually separated in the future, she could imagine that no matter what the reason was, his reputation would be tarnished. This should be what Ian meant. If he was caught fooling around, he might really be powerless to clear his reputation.

Hence, she curled the corners of her mouth and nodded. Then, Ian first kissed her forehead before his lips slowly moved downward to kiss her nose, and finally the corner of her mouth. Although Cindy didn't like the smell of alcohol on him, she tiptoed to kiss him in the end. After some entanglement with each other, the two finally went into the room. Alcohol was an extremely useful thing as it could not only relieve sorrow but also increase one’s courage. Cindy had never been so open in bed before, but since she felt a little dizzy, she also became more courageous and didn't feel shy anymore.

Ian really liked Cindy behaving like this. The two fooled around in bed for a while before they stopped and fell asleep from the alcoholic effects. When he woke up again, it was because he was awakened by the sound of his phone ringing. It was Sean who called him.

Thus, Ian squinted and grabbed the phone to answer the call.

Sean's voice was a little tired and before he cut to the chase, he first asked Ian what Ian was doing, to which Ian quietly replied, “I drank some wine at noon and was sleeping.”

There was envy in Sean’s tone. “You’re living a really comfortable life, huh? I'm really envious.”
