Cindy didn't think too much about it, but when evening came, something unexpected happened. When some of them began to leave, that person walked over and invited Cindy to have dinner together.

Cindy smiled. "I have to go home now; my mom is waiting for me at home. Please go on without me."

Cindy declined their invitation since she didn't want to get too close to some colleagues. Even though they were doing it out of kindness, she wasn't ready to accept it just yet.

She wasn't a passionate person in the first place, and once she established friendships, there would be more trouble waiting for her.

To be honest, she could see that those colleagues were also fighting amongst themselves during her time here.

They were all competing with each other, and there were rumors that Serena would pick the best student to train them exclusively.

The people here were both teammates and rivals. Before this, Cindy simply didn't want to get involved in the mess, but she did know what they had been saying in secret.

Since she had put it like that, the person knew that she wouldn't relent. In the end, they simply gave up. Meanwhile, Cindy left the company and hailed a taxi home.

She thought that she would have to be alone again, but unexpectedly, Aurora had already returned.

When she saw that Cindy had come home, Aurora put down her phone and sat up. "I got stood up, but it doesn't really matter. I still have a lingering hangover, so I came back to rest."
