The blood flowed as the pain registered in Conor’s mind.

Frederick and the others froze, and their expressions were unnatural. Even though they felt like Jack would punish Conor in some way, they did not expect Jack to outright kill him.

Conor fell to the ground the moment Jack pulled out the sword, and he was in so much pain that he clutched his chest, trying to stop the bleeding to no avail. After all, he was already heavily injured. Coupled with that strike, no one could save him.

The color in his cheeks slowly diminished. “You dare to kill me?!”
