Before Xyla could finish speaking, Quinn already interrupted her, “But the person she killed was Mira Hall! Xyla, do you know who Mira Hall is? She’s Jenny Hall’s sister! No wonder Jenny Hall asked us to look for a ring that doesn’t exist. She was targeting Serenity all along and we just got dragged into it.”
“But didn’t we all get an apology gift as compensation?” said Xyla.
Quinn was obviously unhappy to see Xyla speak up for Serenity. She was the one who broke the news that Serenity had been in prison before.
She overheard the conversation between Serenity, Zeke Shaw and Jenny Hall by accident, so she spent some time looking up various news articles about Zeke Shaw and Jenny Hall on the Internet. That was how she discovered that the person who ran over and killed Mira Hall years ago was actually Serenity.

“Xyla, did Serenity bribe you? Is that why you’re speaking up for her?” Quinn asked sarcastically.

Serenity looked up and saw that the man who spoke up for her was Peter Wall.
But that only made Quinn angrier. The main reason she disliked Serenity was because she liked Peter, but Peter liked Serenity.

you think she’ll like you just because you spoke up for her, Peter? Her ex-boyfriend was Zeke Shaw! The young master of the Shaw Group!”
Peter Wall’s face turned red.
Quinn continued to mock Serenity. “But Zeke Shaw probably wants to puke when he sees Serenity now since she’s a sanitation worker. Tsk tsk, I wonder if Zeke Shaw throws up when he thinks of how intimate they used to be.”
Serenity looked at Quinn coldly. “Are you done?”
“What? Are you going to deny that you were in jail or that you’re Zeke Shaw’s ex-girlfriend?” asked Quinn condescendingly. “You’re an ex-convict! Stop acting innocent!”
“I am an ex-convict. So what? As for whose ex-girlfriend I am, it’s none of your business. Besides, who says I can’t date someone just because I’m a sanitation worker? Are you saying that being a sanitation worker will only make people puke?”
