Chapter 101
After Serenity left, Jackson felt a sense of emptiness as he looked around the small rented home. He picked up the scarf she had left on the table and wrapped it around his neck with a slight smile.
By the time Jackson walked out, Connor had been waiting outside for a long time. Connor was dumbfounded to see his boss with the scarf. Mr. Valor had never been fond of wearing scarves, but he wore a plain scarf around his neck this time.
As Jackson approached, Connor managed to get a better look at the scarf, Judging by the yarn and pattern, it was certainly a hand-made scarf.
Why would Mr. Valor wear a hand-made scarf? There was only one answer to it. Serenity must have hand-made the scarf for
him!
“Mr. Valor, where shall we.”
“To the hospital. I’ll have dinner with Zack for New Year’s Eve today.” Jackson ordered.

“Yes,” Connor responded and drove Jackson to the hospital.
The bus stopped at an elevated exit near the towIL
Serenity got off the bus. It had been three years, and it seemed the small town had changed a lot during this time. Even the dirt road had been upgraded into cement roads.
As she walked along the road to her grandmother’s house, she encountered neighbors from her grandmother’s place. Everyone was pointing at her, gossiping about her, however, she was already used to it.
Ever since her release from prison, those who knew her from before talked about her whenever they saw her
Serenity soon arrived at her grandmother’s house to see that it was crowded with relatives
Desmond Walker, her second uncle, saw her and welcomed her with a warm smile. “Oh, it’s Serenity. Hurry up and come here. We’ve been waiting for you.”
Serenity was a little surprised. After all, it was Desmond who had sent someone to give her a message in the detention house shortly after she had been arrested for the accideri, telling her not to get the family into trouble.
“Come on, sit down!” Her aunt, Theresa, also came over with a warm smile, and she pulled Serenity over to the table and sat her down. Subsequently, her other uncle, Francis, his wife, Lorraine, Desmond’s wife, Dorothy, and Theresa’s husband, Nolan, all gathered around her and wannly greeted her.
Serenity was a little puzzled, and she asked, “Where’s Granny?”
“Granny is taking a nap right now. You can see her later when she wakes up,” Aunt Theresa said.
Sitting beside them, Francis urged, “Hey, Serenity, now that you’re out of jail, you have to be a good person Aren’t you single right now? A woman like you will need a man to rely on. I’ll introduce someone nice to you soon.”
