Chapter 122
Jackson prepared her toothbrush for her, squeezing toothpaste onto it and placing a cup of warm water
in her hand.
Serenity blushed at the attention and almost forgot how to even brush her teeth as Jackson’s presence penetrated the air all around her.
He even grabbed a towel and ran it under warm water,
“I can do it myself… Serenity started as she bit her lip.
“Isn’t it easier if I do it for you?” Jackson asked.
But the problem was… he was too close to her! She was practically in his arms as he ran the towel under the water from behind her!
Serenity couldn’t help but look up at the mirror before her.

She had always known that Jack was handsome, but the man before her right now had no heavy bangs. covering his forehead. He wore a suit and exuded an air of nobility from head to toe, and it felt like he was on an unattainable pedestal.
How had she never noticed this before?
Even Lisa didn’t believe that such a man could be homeless, yet Serenity always naively thought that she and Jackson were the same and wanted to keep him by her side.
Was it because… she was afraid of being alone?
But in reality, Jack wasn’t a homeless man at all. On the contrary, his attire clearly showed how wealthy he was. Even the doctors and nurses treated him with exceptional respect
“What are you thinking about. Sis? Jackson’s voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts.
Serenity snapped out of her trance and saw that his gaze was fixed on her through the mirror. Their eyes met in the reflection, and Serenity felt a shiver up her spine, feeling like she was completely enraptured by
his eyes.
“Your face is so red, Sis,” Jackson whispered as he leaned closer, his lips nearing her face.
His warm breath gently brushed against her cheeks and neck, leaving a tingling sensation behind.
Her face instantly turned even redder,
“Why… do you still call me that?” Serenity asked as she struggled to avert her gaze. She lowered her eyes and refused to look into the mirror again.
“Don’t you like it?” Jackson countered softly.
“You’re clearly not a homeless person… There’s no need for you to call me that,” Serenity murmured in
response.
Jackson fell silent, and there was suddenly an indescribable suffocating feeling in the air. In the small bathroom, only the sound of water flowing from the tap continued to echo consistently.
