When Lisa stood up abruptly, it caught Joy off-guard, and she toppled to the ground. The chair she was sitting on fell and pressed down on her, more specifically, on her foot which was still healing.
Joy screamed in pain instantly, and the people around them immediately rushed forward to help her up in a flustered manner.
“Lisa, do you no longer want this job? How could you treat Miss Shaw like this?!” The director angrily scolded Lisa.
Lisa sneered and replied, “Yeah, I dont want this job anymore. I’ve had enough. I may receive a salary, but I didn’t sell my soul to this institute. Why should I endure this suffering?”
“Don’t think that resigning will be enough!” Joy exclaimed furiously. I’ll sue you for causing intentional
harm!”
“Fine! I’ll countersue you for the same! I’m going to the hospital and getting my injuries documented!” Lisa fired back just as angrily, waving her injured hand before Joy.

If Joy wanted to act arrogant, Lisa could do it better!
Joy was about to lose her mind from the fury running through her veins. She couldn’t even deal Serenity, and now, she couldn’t even touch Serenity’s friend?!
“Don’t think that just because Serenity has Jackson backing her up that you’re safe! Do you think he’ll back. you up the same way?! Hah! Dream on! I’m sure Jackson is only messing around with Serenity. After all, Serenity killed Mira, and he wouldn’t have feelings for a woman who killed his fiancee now, would he?!”

With her caregiver’s assistance, Joy quickly hobbled away. The institute director hurriedly followed after her as if he was trying to say more to salvage the situation.
