Chapter 203
“I see,” Serenity responded. She somehow had a feeling that Lucas was telling her all of these things on purpose,
Lucas continued speaking, his penetrating dark gaze pinned on her. “I was separated from a girl in the hospital many years ago this day. She told me about this restaurant, which was her favorite. That’s why I would spend some time here every year on this day and have a meal”
“She must be someone dear to you,” Serenity said. Lucas sounded like he missed her a lot.
“Yeah. She is. She’s probably the most important person in my life.” Luca s’s tone was very indifferent, almost as if he was talking about something that seemed natural to him.
Serenity, on the other hand, was shocked. Did Lucas care that much about a lost person? Serenity’s original view of him was very different. She thought he was cold and heartless. He showed no mercy to his ex-girlfriend and constantly changed

girlfriends his feelings were like a ripple in the water and would die down as quickly as they formed.
Lucas said there was someone who was important to him in his life. Serenity wondered how the gossip media would feel if they heard this
“Is she so important? Didn’t you search for her?” Serenity asked
Lucas let out a soft chuckle. His gaze focused on her as if watching her reaction. “I did. I’m still searching for her.
Unfortunately, there weren’t many surveillance cameras installed at that time. There was no surveillance at the hospital and
the roads in this small town. It took me a while before I started looking for her, but I was too late.”
There was great regret in his tone. He had been looking for the girl for many years, but as time passed, his chances were getting slimmer and slimmer.
Sometimes, he could not help thinking he would never find her again.
“I hope you can quickly find her,” Serenity said.
“Yeah, I hope so,” Lucas agreed. Then, he asked, “What about you? Did you have any special experiences when you were in this town? Have you ever… saved someone? Or told someone about the good food in this restaurant?”
Serenity laughed. “I probably told many people about the good food here, but the locals like eating at this restaurant, anyway. As for saving someone… I don’t think so.”
Serenity did not remember saving anyone when she was a child.
