Caleb was joking when he made the remark. He had grown accustomed to his friend changing girlfriends, and it would be a real surpnse if Lucas went a prolonged period without doing so. But if Lucas were to replace his current little star, it would be the shortest relationship he had ever had.
“Well, I suppose you could say that, Lucas calmly replied, his gaze still lacked with Jackson’s.
Caleb didn’t think much of it, but sudden, Jackson’s face darkened, and even the air around them seemed to grow cold and heavy,
“Hey, Jackson, what’s wrong? Why the serious face? Caleb asked, puzzled by the inexplicable and eerie atmosphere.
Jackson ignored Caleb. His inky dark eyes were fixed on Lucas, and the corner of his ps quirked up.

“That extra, was she your girlfriend’s sister?”
“Yes. Quite a coincidence, isn’t it? Lucas said.
Jackson’s smile grew wider, but his eyes remained icy cold. “Yes, what a coincidence indeed.”
After uttering those words, he turned around and walked toward the venue’s exit.
Celeb had a bewildered expression and looked at Lucas standing beside him, “What’s going on with Jackson… Did he just leave? He just arrved not long ago!”
Lucas, however, kept his gaze fixed on Jackson’s retreating figure, his expression equally grave.
“Did you say something that I didnt catch earlier? Caleb asked. He had clearly understood everything his two trends said, but now, he felt like he might have missed something. Their reactions were utterly incomprehensible to him
“it’s nothing. It’s just that some things are truly too coincidental, Lucas said, lowering his gaze lightly.
He had heard from Caleb that Jackson seemed to be concerned about a certain woman, but he never expected that the woman Jackson cared about would turn out to be Serenity.
At this moment, Serenity was eating takeout while scrolling through her phone and watching random videos.
