“I’d like to be your protector for the rest of my life, is that okay?” Jackson was slightly bent over as he stared straight into her eyes. His voice sounded deep. Like the night breeze, it was cold but carried a lingering sense of desire.
It left Serenity in a dazed state. At the moment, he seemed to have placed himself in an inferior position, praying for her approval.

like that?
“Alright,” answered Serenity while blushing. A burning desire rose in her heart. She wondered if there would come a day when she had to protect him.
