Upon being called, Grayson quickly intervened in his wife’s favor. He stepped forward and began yelling at his daughter,” How could you treat Catherine like this?! No matter what has happened, she’s still your elder. Hurry up and apologize to her!” Serenity stared coldly back at her father. She used to put herself through hell just to gain his approval, just so he would treat her like he did Aria. In the end, she realized that it was just her wishful thinking.
At this point, she had truly given up on him.
“Apologize? What should I apologize for? Are you implying that I should let her do whatever she wants with me when she starts abusing me? Do you think I should sit back and let her lumiliate me and even my mother? I don’t think I need to say out loud who betrayed Mom all those years ago.”
An embarrassed expression appeared on Grayson’s face. Amidst Catherine’s incessant wailing, he retorted, “So what if Catherine slapped you a few times? Why didn’t you mention the things you did to your sister? If not for you, she wouldn’t have broken up with Lucas!”
Serenity snorted. “Why don’t you ask her about the scandal she got herself into?”
“How could your sister possibly do such things?!” yelled Grayson. “Quick! Apologize to her right this instant!”
At that moment, Catherine screamed, “She hurt me! I’m gonna call the cops on her for attempted murder!”

Serenity couldn’t be bothered to quarrel with them anymore. She turned to Clara and apologized.
“I’m sorry that my problem is affecting your business.”
“It’s fine,” replied Clara who began guiding the diners out of the restaurant.
Having been ignored by Serenity, Grayson felt his pride take a hit as the man of the house. So, he rushed forward and began to
attack her.
Serenity was about to dodge his attack when a person behind her pulled her back. Then, with a swift kick to the chest, Grayson was knocked to the floor.
In a daze, Grayson tried to get back on his feet but was quickly restrained by another man.
Catherine, who had witnessed everything, stood there with a dumbfounded expression. Instinctively, she yelled at the attacker, “What are you doing attacking people in broad daylight?! I’m gonna call the cops on you!”
