Chapter 649
Serenity’s Uncle Francis, Uncle Desmond and Aunt Theresa were notified by the hospital, but they only arrived at the hospital two hours after her grandmother’s death.
Meanwhile, Serenity’s grandfather, Henry Waller, did not even come to the hospital. His excuse was that he wasn’t in good health and he was worried that he would get too emotional when he saw Granny’s corpse, making his health worse.
Serenity wondered how Granny would feel if she lovew that.
The first reaction of Francis, Desmond and Theresa upon seeing Serenity was to tell her that she must pay her share of the cost of Granny’s grave and funeral!
Serenity was so mad. Granny had just passed away, but all they were concerned about was money!
“Money, huh?” Jackson, who had been standing at the side without saying anything, finally spoke.

Only then did Serenity’s uncles and aunt notice there was someone else in the ward. Because they came inside in a hurry and their niece was wearing a very conspicuous wedding gown, they did not notice Jackson.
And as soon as they did, their hearts sank. They recognized him as the man they saw at the Foster Residence.
They had planned to sell Serenity to the Foster family to be the Fosters me ntally-impaired son’s wife, but in the middle of the night, this man barged in with a bunch of people and took Serenity away.
After that, Serenity’s uncles and aunt were detained at the local police station for days!
“What… are you doing here?” Francis stammered.
Upon seeing Jackson, Theresa told Serenity, “Serenity, since your boyfriend is here, if you don’t have enough money, you can ask your boyfriend to lend you some. Surely you’ll chip in for your grandmother’s funeral and grave, right?”
Serenity was about to say something, but Jackson pressed her shoulder gently and told Theresa, “Of course Serenity will pay her share, but can you afford to keep up?”
Theresa was puzzled. What did he mean by that?
Francis and Desmond quickly pulled Theresa aside and told her briefly about what happened at the Foster Residence that night.
Because Theresa was not present at the Foster Residence that night, she only knew Jackson from the time Serenity brought him home to visit Granny.
When Theresa learned that Jackson was the man who took Serenity away that night, her expression changed. She eyed Jackson suspiciously and asked, “Who are you?”
