After ending the call, he threw himself at Gwendolyn.

Gwendolyn shrieked in response, “Patrick, move aside.”

She let out a loud yawn. It was clear from the sound of it that she was extremely tired.

Patrick's heart melted. He knew how important the ceremony was to her. In fact, he had come over because he didn't want to miss the first time she received an award.
